1960 Jaguar Mk 9. 3.8 automatic

1960 Jaguar Mk 9. 3.8 automatic. Odometer shows 2,080. Stored for last 10 years. Engine believed to have been running then but not tried since. Basically solid throughout. Evidence of repairs to both rear inner wheel arches. The chassis number is indeed in the 1959 sequence – probably about October/Nov and the engine is also a Mk9 with the prefix NC so almost certainly matching numbers but only a heritage Cert would confirm – or archive enquiry. The bulkhead, inner wings and inside of outer wings are clean, smooth and painted black. No underseal to hide any repairs. The body panels are clean and straight and the doors are fitted with consistently straight, tight gaps. The paintwork is ‘new’ ie 10 yrs old and looks like a good ‘off the gun’ repaint. It may need a wet sand and polish. There is a skim of filler or high-build primer under the paint but again, looking at the inside and bottoms of the doors, under the wings and around the headlights, it all looks sound and straight. There is no evidence of any accident damage. The woodwork has all been refinished to a good standard and is packed separately. The leather seats are in good condition with no rips, scratches or split seams. Hide food (Autoglym) will bring back the softness. The mechanical underpinnings have clearly been stripped, cleaned, painted and rebuilt. No road dirt/oil or corrosion on the chassis or springs or handbrake linkage near the diff. Largely complete apart from sidechromes and glass not present. £9,995 delivered to Chessington, taxes and duty paid To arrange a viewing please call 07931 360396
